Spring Break 2024 – The Pathfinder had recently died and we needed a new vehicle. We also needed a getaway. Thanks to the mighty powers of the internet, I learned of the Mercedes Metris and there happened to be a great deal on one near Denver, Colorado. Well, what better way to spend spring break than taking a trip to visit my brother and get a fancy new vehicle to drive back? Without much hesitation, and absolutely no haggling skills with the car salesman, we had a plan. Fly to Denver. Spend quality family time with my brother and Claudia and then drive back home. Its a good thing we all got along because, as it turns out, spring in Denver is much different than spring in Texas and we were snowed in for the week. We built an igloo, we plowed some snow, and eventually the snow cleared just in time for us to make our way back home.
